Episode headers with full season and episode numbers
I mean the “E1” here: I know “Season 3” is right there, but my eyes slide right over it. 😅 Personally I would strongly prefer the format “3x01 I Told You Not to Come”, but “SxEE” vs. “SxEyy” format probably has to be a user preference… With this change I also wouldn’t need “Season 3” there any more, making the header less cluttered IMO.
Feedback / Feature Request: Server-side scrobble auto-completion on episode transition (Plex autoplay edge-case)`
Hi! I've been testing scrobbling to WeTrakr from Plex using Crosswatch and wanted to share some feedback regarding an edge case during binge-watching. The Situation When playing series on Plex with Autoplay enabled, Plex often chains consecutive episodes without sending a clean stop playback event. It moves directly from progress >= 95% on Episode 1 to progress = 1% on Episode 2 within the same session. Because client scrobblers sometimes fail to synthesize an explicit /scrobble/stop call during this rapid transition, WeTrakr only receives: 1. /scrobble/start and /scrobble/pause updates (which successfully report progress up to ~90-98%). 2. Followed immediately by a new /scrobble/start for the next episode. Since WeTrakr strictly waits for a /scrobble/stop call to persist the item into the user's watched history (`/sync/tracking/watched/history/episodes`), the episode ends up stuck in limbo and is never marked as watched. Suggestion Have you considered implementing server-side auto-completion if a playback session reaches a high progress threshold? For instance: - If a session had previously reported progress >= 85% (or 90%), and the user starts a new playback session for a different item (or after a timeout), the backend could automatically finalize/commit the previous episode to the user's watch history. Other platforms (like SIMKL) implement this fallback behavior, which makes scrobbling much more resilient against client players (Plex, Kodi, etc.) that drop stop events between consecutive episodes. Thanks for the great work on WeTrakr!
Expand Next Episode Selection
I am not sure how it currently sorted but would like to have ways to define how up next is built. Building an up next segment based on: Items You Are Watching (Currently Airing) Items You Are Planning to Watch (Premier Filter) [eg. Items that have premiered in x days Items You Are [Re]-Watching (Available seasons finished airing) [Last Watched / Last Air Date Toggle] Being able to sort these in any order you want would be a big unlock.
TOTAL PLAYS ON PROGRESS BAR
Total plays helps user see how many rewatches has been done. If no, I would like to request a feature where we will be able to see total plays of a show on the progress bar. Currently, progress bar uses the format N/N, so I am suggesting that format of N(X)/N is used instead with X representing total plays. Alternative format could also be N+X/N.
For You Tweaks & Improvements
Add days ‘since last aired’ and ‘since released’ time settings The ability to set a day count since last aired / since release allows for a moving window instead of users always having to adjust their time periods. Add last (re)watch setting to “Worth a rewatch section” Currently users have a control for when items appear if they rated something depending on their last rating on the item. Might be nice to have a filter depending on their last watch time.
Color palettes preview improvement
Could you make those buttons interactive so we can instantly see how our colors look like? Also a badge option (green) would be nice to have here. SXX | EXX badge is missing in top left corner of series poster
Option to show release date on hover/tap instead of watch time
Add an option to display a movie/series release date when hovering over it (or tapping on mobile), instead of showing the exact watch time. Why? The "Release and watched date" option takes up too much space, and I think, the release date is more useful than the exact time we watched something. Being able to see the release date on demand would keep the interface cleaner while still making this information easily accessible.
Import/Export palette colors
It would be great to have an import/export feature for color palettes, allowing users to easily share their palettes on Discord. The feature should include all customizable colors: Media type colors Action buttons Badges Progress bars Rating colors It would also make experimenting with different palettes much easier. Currently, changing colors is quite time-consuming, especially when you want to revert to a previous palette, since you have to restore each color individually. Ideally, users could save, export, import, and switch between palettes without having to manually adjust every color.
