Decouple voting for ideas from subscribing to updates

I noticed that if I upvote an idea to show support for it, then click Unsubscribe because I don’t really want email updates for that idea (i.e. not something I’ll necessarily use myself, or just generally trying to manage my email volume), my vote gets removed.

Can we… not do that? Voting for an idea and subscribing to updates on that idea should be independent actions.
