If you select a different tab than the default, it will stick if you search for a new item from the search bar and select one of the popup results.
If you search and hit Enter to see all search results and select a new item from there, it will return to the default Details tab as expected.
I certainly don’t mind being able to change the default tab to whatever you want, but it should return to your default when you select a new item I think.
