One of the most useful features of Trakt v2 that was removed in v3 is the ability to search an entire show for an episode name.
Many shows with lots of episodes that haven been running for years (one common example, documentaries like Biography or Modern Marvels), often don’t have the best data with some places saying an episode aired on X date in Season X while others say it aired on Y date in Season Y so you can’t just go season by season to find the episode to mark. Of course, the ideal solution would be to fix the data at the source but that’s not always an option. Episode search helps alleviate that as you can just search by title without needing to know which correct season or air date it’s in.
I do think however it should be implemented on a show level unlike Trakt which had it global across the site, most likely if you are searching for an episode of a specific name, you already know what show it’s on and don’t need to see episodes with similar names across 20 other shows burying the result.
