Honestly the most intuitive “interface”, to me, is a text box.
Trakt v2 had a really good way of handling this IMO. It pre-filled the box, and had a little calendar to choose the date + a time spinner in 15-minute increments, yes. But most importantly, if I simply logged my own watches while offline or whatever in a standard format like ISO 8601 (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm -oooo, with UTC offset) I could just paste the timestamp in and it'd be correctly localized using the UTC offset specified.
Had a couple quirks still if the browser and account timezones didn't match up, but was honestly very easy to use.
