Movie incorrectly added to watched history without a corresponding play

I found an issue involving an incorrect entry in my watched history.

Project Hail Mary appears in my watched history as watched on July 30, even though I did not actually watch the movie in full on that date. I originally watched it on May 12, and when I open the movie page, the only play shown is still that legitimate May 12 watch. There is no additional play recorded for July 30.

I’m not completely sure which Plex event caused the incorrect watched entry, as there are two possible explanations.

A friend who has access to my Plex server finished watching the movie on July 29 at around 11:30 PM. His Plex user is visible in the settings but is not selected for scrobbling, so his activity should normally be ignored. However, watched events are currently being processed with a delay of roughly 12–16 hours (related issue here), so his completed watch could potentially have appeared in my history sometime during the afternoon of July 30.

The other possibility is that I briefly started the movie myself on July 30 for a test and stopped it after only a few seconds. I had watched Dr. Romantic episode 19 very early that morning, then later in the afternoon I briefly launched the movie, and afterwards watched episode 20. The movie appears in my history between those two episodes, so its position also matches the timing of my short test playback.

This is why I cannot determine which event caused it: the delayed processing of my friend’s completed watch and the timing of my own few-second playback both line up with where the movie appears in my history.

In either case, I did not actually watch the movie in full on July 30. It appears in my watched history with that date, but there is no corresponding play on the movie page, so I’m also unsure how to remove the incorrect entry without affecting my legitimate May 12 watch.
