At the moment in TV shows, when you go into an episode the cast list shown is everyone that’s been in the show, sorted by number of appearances, regardless of whether they’re in the episode or not.
Some examples are Taskmaster, which has a different 5 guests every season
But all the people showing up (other than the hosts) haven’t been on for years
Another example here is an episode of Brookside from 1990 (Brookside S9E15: Episode 766 - Accidental Death · WeTrakr), and Phillip Olivier doesn’t join the show until 1996
