Progress page: exclude skipped episodes from watched count

Can we have the progress page to not take into account ignored episodes/seasons. For example, I watch General Hospital soap. For me it says

Watched 10825 / 10864

When my real play count is 613 of 10864 in fact because I have only watched it for the last couple of years and ignored everything prior to that. Ideally it should list it as 613 instead of 10825.

This would be extremely useful because we could then use the progress page as a work-around to sort all shows by actual plays.
