Smart Lists

It would be useful to add the ability to create smart lists that are automatically populated with movies and TV shows based on conditions selected by the user. For example, a user could create a smart list called “DC Movies” and configure it to automatically include every movie with the DC tag. After that, whenever the user assigns the DC tag to a movie, it would automatically appear in the corresponding smart list without needing to be added manually. As part of this feature, users could also create and assign their own custom tags to movies and TV shows.

Smart list conditions could include:

• custom tags

• genres

• TV networks and streaming services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, or Disney+

• content type movies or TV shows

• watch status

• release year

• rating

• other available filters.

Users could create smart lists using either their own custom tags or standard filters available on the site. It would also be helpful to support multiple conditions within a single smart list.

For example:

• Tag: DC

• Content type: Movie

• Watch status: Not watched

In this case, only unwatched movies with the DC tag would be automatically added to the list.

This feature would make it possible to create automatically updated collections for different themes, such as Marvel and DC movies, Netflix series, anime, releases from a specific year, or content the user plans to watch.

When a tag is removed or an item no longer matches the selected conditions, the movie or TV show should also be automatically removed from the smart list.
